Australia 108 reaches for the Sky!
Construction has reached level 20 at Australia 108 with lead contractor Brookfield Multiplex powering ahead on the 319-metre luxury apartment tower. The tower was designed and envisioned by Fender Katsalidis Architects with development subsequently bought by Singaporean developer Aspial Corporation in late 2013 for approximately $30 million.
Commenting on the design Architect Fender Katsalidis stated “Australia 108 is a highly sculptural residential tower unlike any other in Australia. Its slender form is highlighted at the Cloud Residences levels by a golden starburst expression and then morphs into a curvaceous profile against the sky. The starburst which contains the resident facilities is inspired by the Commonwealth Star on the Australian flag and is an obvious celebration of the sense of community within the building.”
Upon completion, the tower will rise 317 metres tall and features 1,105 apartments over 100 floors.
Construction will be carried out over 5 stages with stage one up to level 40 scheduled to be completed in late 2018. The final competition date is scheduled for late 2020.
Residents will have access to a 25-metre lap pool, sauna, steam room, gym, private theatre, virtual golf, private dining room and outdoor barbecue area.
The 161 Cloud Residences above level 71 have their own private lobby and amenities including two infinity pools located 210 meters above ground, a gym, private theatre and more!
The level 100 penthouse 750 square meter penthouse sold in April to a Chinese national for $25 million setting a new Australian apartment price record.
