AAIG’s Billion dollar entry into the Perth market

The old emu brewery site in Perth CBD has been going under a $1 billion transformation. The development is by AAIG Australia which is run by Malaysian architect Victor Goh. Mr Goh is understood to be behind some of Malaysia’s largest apartment projects.

Woodside employees will enjoy being housed in their new 32 level office tower featuring 54,000 square meters of premium grade office space, a 400 seat auditorium, rooftop terrace, shared barbecue space, swimming pool deck and end of trip facilities for all the early morning lycra lovers. Five levels of the tower will house a  Remote Operations Centre.

Furthermore the site will house two other towers, a 34 level hotel and a 40 level luxury apartment tower which are yet to start construction.

Woodside’s movement from Dexus property group’s 40,000 square meter Woodside Plaza will be one of the largest office leasing moves in 2017/2018.

Multiplex have overseen construction and the first tower topped out in mid 2016. The first stage including the pool and gymnasium for the future hotel are scheduled to complete in mid-2017 onwards.

The development will help revitalise an underutilized prime CBD site which has remained dormant for many years. There have been many design applications over the years and it is great to see such a high-quality design come to fruition.
