Melbourne First: 34 level Sky Bridge at Collins Arch
Similarly shaped to Beijing’s CCTV building Collins Arch will bring cutting edge architecture to Melbourne City. Featuring dual towers with a sky-high 14 meter sky bridge connecting the towers at level 34, Collins Arch will be a new icon in Melbourne’s skyline. The development will create a whole new multi-use inner city precinct comprising of 200 luxury apartments, the 5 star luxury W Hotel and 49,000 SQM of premium office space.
The residents will enjoy access to beautiful views over the Yarra River and Port Phillip Bay and communal amenities including a statement pool, gymnasium, yoga studio, residents lounge, dining rooms in Melbourne’s first Sky-bridge and a three level sky garden.
Comprising a whole city block, the ground floor will feature public open space, restaurants and will parallel Collins Street’s high end amenities. The Western Tower lower levels will be taken up by the premium office space and the brand-new W Hotel will be located in the Eastern tower.
The development has been designed by a combination of Australian architects Woods Bagot and New York based SHoP Achitects.
“Collins Arch will be a vertical village within the city that will transform our skyline. A flourishing destination drawing people from across the city, Collins Arch will be a place for thousands to live, work, play and stay,” says Adrian Pozzo, the CEO of Collin Arch’s developer, Cbus Property.
Construction started in October 2016 and the development is forecast to be completed by the end of 2019.
