Platino Properties marked a major construction milestone at Jardin, Frenchs Forest, on Thursday 29th October, with a Topping Out ceremony celebrating the completion of the highest point in construction for Stage 2 of the award-winning over 55's community, held onsite with builder DASCO.
Buyers of Stage 2 received a custom mould of concrete from the site’s actual concrete pour, with their own unique Eucalyptus or Wattle plant (depending on which building they purchased into) as a gift. A celebration of this construction miletone was also held for buyers within the display suite, with a large potted olive tree craned up to the rooftop, planted now so it’s already flourishing by the time future residents move in.
In attendance were several local politicians and the Northern Beaches Mayor, Sue Heins and the Independent Member for Wakehurst, Michael Regan MP, who joined Platino Properties senior executives and the greater project team in marking the occassion.
Stage 2 comprises 98 apartments across two new buildings, Eucalyptus and Wattle, ranging from one to three bedrooms and rising between three and seven storeys.
Once complete, the two buildings will connect to Jardin's original Acacia and Banksia buildings via a shared central landscaped garden, Le Jardin.
The milestone follows the successful completion of Jardin's Stage 1 in 2024, which sold out prior to construction and has since welcomed all of its residents. Stage 2 builds on that foundation, offering an expanded collection of resident-exclusive facilities and thoughtfully designed apartments for downsizers seeking strata title ownership without the deferred management fees or exit fees typical of traditional retirement villages.

Construction of Stage 2, as with Stage 1, is being delivered by DASCO, a privately-owned Australian developer and builder with a 4.5 Gold Star iCIRT rating, one of the highest ratings achievable under the Independent Construction Industry Rating Tool. The iCIRT rating, developed in consultation with the NSW Building Commission, assesses the character, capability and capacity of builders and developers, providing buyers with greater confidence and transparency in construction quality.

Jardin's Stage 2 apartments are now selling, with a display suite open onsite at 7 Skyline Place, Frenchs Forest every Tuesday and Thursday from 10am to 2pm, Saturday 12pm to 2pm, or by private appointment.
Construction to anticipated to be completed in Quarter 3, 2027.
